The East Midlands Children’s Paediatric Critical Care Operational Delivery Network is one of ten Paediatric Critical Care Operational Delivery Networks in the United Kingdom. It was formed following a national review of children’s critical care and specialised surgical services. It aims to provide clear governance over the whole pathway for children and young people who require critical care intervention. The network helps to support staff from across the East Midlands region to deliver safe and effective critical care. It promotes the provision of sustainable, high quality and responsive Paediatric Critical Care within our region.
There are seven NHS trusts and nine hospitals within the East Midlands Critical Care Operational Delivery Network providing different levels of paediatric critical care in which they are commissioned for:

The network provides the opportunity to bring together the key stakeholders from across the East Midlands region including clinicians, providers, commissioners, children, young people and their carers to make positive changes across complex systems of care to improve outcomes and ensure the best possible care is provided across the region.
