Emily was seriously ill with pneumonia just before she was two years old, following complications she ended up in the Paediatric Intensive Care Unit at Nottingham QMC. Initially on a ward at the Royal Derby Hospital, she was transferred to the QMC PICU in the middle of the night by a team of doctors and nurses who were sent from Nottingham to collect her. The team were amazing and thankfully Emily made a full recovery. She has no lasting effects from her illness and she's a bright and beautiful girl. We can't ever express how grateful we are to the team how do you put that into words?
